Hoe weet jy van Sjinese papiersambrele?

“Red has always been the favorite color of the Chinese people”

Designer: Paul. The pattern is inspire by the novel “Heavenly Officials Provide Blessings".

Inspired by the weapon (“Red Umbrella”) of the main character “Blommestad” in the novel,

we create this Flower City themed umbrella called “Blood Rain Tantrum”.

I was impresse by the touching story behind the weapon (“red umbrella”).

Not only that, it is also one of the emotional clues for the two main characters: “Flower City” and “Xie Ren”.

The theme color scheme of the entire nylon parasol:

 

It is because of this that the whole umbrella gives people a visual impulse.

 

二，Graphic design elements

The silver butterfly design in the umbrella design , by the main character: a group of butterflies raised by Flower City.

The butterflies symbolize: Flower City follows the flower-like Xie Ren throughout her life.
It is beautiful and dangerous. and is one of the elements that best represents Flower City.
It is no coincidence that. I have clustere this design element in a flower from or in groups following the flower.
The butterfly is outline with white Chinese paint,

Then decorated with silver foil to make it ,and more in line with the fluttering and flashing feeling.
The flowers  based on Hua Cheng’s identity as the Jedi Ghost King in the novel.
First of all, in Chinese culture,

The flower on the other side of the river is often symbolize:

• toughness,
• lojaliteit 
• unchanging love.

The flowers fit the identity of Flower City very well. and the size of the flowers is staggere on the umbrella surface to echo the butterflies.

I outline the flowers in gold ink to give it 

• atmosferiese
• gorgeous look.
